MALAI KOFTA


MALAI KOFTA
Ingredients:
For the koftas:
1 cup cottage cheese
1 tbsp refined flour (maida)
Baking powder (pinch full)
2 green chillies
Coriander (finely chopped)
For the gravy:
4 tomatoes
1 cup milk
¼ cup milk cream
1 tbsp kasoori methi
1 tbsp oil
Salt as per taste
¼ cup onions
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ginger paste
2 cloves
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
Directions:
For the koftas:
Mix paneer, maida, chopped chillies, coriander, baking powder and salt.
Make 10 round balls out of them. Now microwave on HIGH for 45 minutes and put away.
For the gravy:
Reduce tomatoes to pulp. Ground onions, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, ginger paste, cloves and cinnamon powder.
In a microwave safe bowl, put in the oil and the grounded paste and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
Add tomato puree and microwave on HIGH for another five minutes, stirring one time in between. Add milk cream, kasoori methi and salt to it. Microwave cook on HIGH for 2 more minutes.
Add kofta balls to the gravy and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander before serving.
