When you can't think of a dessert in a jiffy and don’t have ample resources available, there still are some divine recipes that turn usual evenings to special.
Try this chocolate bread pudding at home; you’ll surely serve it to all your special guests for times to come! Here we go with the simple process-
Ingredients
Loaf of bread, cut into cubes
700ml milk
60ml full-fat cream
120ml coffee liqueur
6 eggs
250 g brown sugar
25g cocoa powder
1 tbsp. vanilla essence
200g chocolate chips
Method
1) Preheat the oven to 180° C.
2) Lightly grease a baking dish and fill the bottom with cubes you’ve cut from the bread loaf.
3) Then, whisk together cream, milk and coffee liqueur in a large bowl.
4) Mix the sugar with cocoa powder in another bowl. When properly combined, add it to the milk and cream mixture. Whisk together with the help of a hand blender.
5) Beat eggs in a medium bowl and add the vanilla essence to it. When it starts frothing, add it to the milk mixture and whisk with the hand blender again. Also add some chocolate chips now.
6) Pour the entire mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish. Leave it for some time to allow time for the bread to absorb the liquid. Once the bread has absorbed all the milk, put the dish in the oven and leave it for baking for about an hour. Once the pudding appears set, insert a cake tester. If it comes out clean, the pudding is just ready.
7) Serve the pudding warm or cold, as you desire. The pudding also goes well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
