Did you ever wonder what makes your kid so irritable towards the end of the day? When he took his small, evening nap, you gobbled down your share of evening snack with tea; but when he woke up, you gave him his regular milk bottle. May be, you’re missing out something here!
Snacks for a toddler may be more of a necessity than a treat. At this age your toddler uses up so much energy for playoffs and growing that he may not be able to deal with that long break between lunch and dinner without a get-up-and-go refuel in between.
Snacks needn't be chips and chocolates all the time, however, a home-made muffin, a slice of a fruit, idlis, and a chunk of cheese or paneer all can provide that energy boost. It's also a good idea to make sure his diet contains plenty of whole grains, beans, fruit and vegetables so that he gets all the nutrients he needs.
You'll notice his body shape changing over the next few months too; he'll gradually become more slender as his limbs and trunk start to grow longer and his body proportions begin to look a lot like those of an adult.
So let’s wait and watch what these little wonders have to show off in the coming time, making sure that they are well kept, well-fed and well-groomed!
